Drunk Driving
This refers to driving after consuming alcohol or drugs before the body has fully recovered. Drunk driving is permitted if the blood alcohol concentration is 0.2% or higher (about 1 glass of soju or 500 cc of beer). Refusing to take a breathalyzer test will result in more severe penalties, including license revocation or suspension. -

Failure to Act After an Accident
Even if there are no casualties, leaving the scene after causing damage to a vehicle in a traffic accident constitutes this crime. For instance, fleeing after colliding with a streetlight and scattering debris is punishable.

Revenge Driving, Aggressive Driving
Using a vehicle to commit violent crimes (assault, threats, bodily harm, damage). Repeatedly violating traffic laws such as signal or directive violations, crossing center lines, speeding, disobeying crosswalks, U-turns, reversing prohibitions, failure to maintain safe distances, and illegal lane changes all constitute aggressive driving. -
Failure to Act After an Accident
This crime occurs when a vehicle operator causes injury or death due to negligence or gross negligence in the course of duty. If there was no intention to cause injury or death and it resulted from negligence, it still constitutes a crime. Negligent homicide in the course of duty is heavily punished compared to ordinary negligence.
